What I’ve Written: July 17-22

Do you like my mug? I feel like I make good purchasing choices.

It’s been a big week, what with SDCC and all. Obviously, I didn’t go, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t some new bits of news literally every time I refreshed Twitter.

I’m not jealous. At all.

There was a lot of pop culture news to report on, and over on PopWrapped I gave plenty of updates. Let’s get started with a recap of last week.

First off, I was super psyched to interview Thomas Dominique of Blood Drive, which has quickly become my new favorite TV show. The show is about cars that run on blood, and if you’re anything like me and you find that concept delightful, go check it out. You’ll learn about what goes into making a show that is absolutely bonkers.

There was also plenty of Marvel news. First and foremost, there will be no Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe…at least, not yet. There was definitely a ‘never say never’ aura around the news, but for now there are no plans. Also, there are no plans for a solo Hulk film thanks to Universal, and that’s a damn shame, because if any Avenger deserves a solo flick….well, I’d give it to Black Widow, but RuffaHulk would be a close second.

And finally, we jump to Olivia Munn of X-Men fame, who is gearing up to star in the History Channel’s new scripted series, Six. If you’re into military shows and are interested in seeing the emotional toll of being a Navy SEAL depicted on screen, this sounds like the perfect series for you.
